This is my first post! Hurrah! I'm about 2 weeks into my time in Heidelberg and am starting to be truly adjusted and to branch out into what the region has to offer. In posts soon to come I will elaborate on the long and arduous path to Heidelberg from JFK, the comically vast amounts of paperwork thrown at me when exhausted and depleted, and the process of getting adjusted to a place filled with signs and instructions in a language I don't speak. For the moment, I'm going to sleep. I spent 8 hours spending money on clothes and farmers markets and walking around Mannheim today, and still have to show up to German class at 9 AM!
